The Roaring Twenties Was A Step Backward For America T here's no denying that the Roaring 20s was a huge step for American culture. From the new technology like automobile and planes to the abundance of parties around there were definitely huge changes coming to America but... Was it a step in the right direction? It makes you wonder, who actually benefitted from the roaring 20s changes in culture and were those benefits short or long term? Men's rights were the same as pre-war meaning they could work for, or heck, start businesses where they saw fit. But regarding Women, there were tons of new opportunities. Since the war had ended, the public realized that Women could work most of the jobs that Men could, and just as efficiently too. They even got the right to vote! Laissez Faire and The United States

T he Laissez-Faire style of government isn't completely gone. Over the past few days, This particular word has been popping into my head from time to time. " Laissez Faire" or "hands off" is basically when a government cares little for how businesses and companies treat their employees, and how towns treat their citizens. Back in the 1800s and the early 1900s, there were a lot of questionable things people were doing to gain wealth. Outlaw? What Does That Mean? One aspect of the United States that has supposedly been outlawed since the country's change of heart is  Trusts.   Trusts are basically when companies combine to create a corporation, they make their prices dirt cheap in order to run unassociated companies out of business. When there's no more competition left, they raise their prices to ridiculous amounts so they can make the highest possible profit. Does the Past Really Impact the Future?

Actions from the past, affect the present period. Everything that's been done in the past has had an effect on the world today no matter how great or minuscule the action was, something did change. You were eating a piece of fruit and you decided to throw the seed onto the ground. And it just so happens that a few days later, a construction crew came through and built a road right next to the seed you left, give it about 3 years and the road will be basically destroyed because of the tree that sprouted up and its roots are breaking the concrete.                               Let's say that the Americans never decided to move west at all, and just minded their own business on the colonies they took, first of all, none of the historical figures born in the 1800's would even exist, much less be famous.
